It's best to uninstall, but not delete, the wireless controller drivers as once they are deleted from the Surface it will take a Refresh or Reset to get them back. If you only uninstall them they will reinstall once you restart the device. In order to get your wireless drivers back log in to your Surface, open your Charms bar and select Settings -> Change PC Settings -> On the left select the General tab -> Scroll down on the right and select Refresh your PC without affecting your files.
