Why is this so difficult? There seems to be so much info about this online, but nowhere has just a step by step guide with links to ROMsets etc. That gets it working. It's like every discussion online about this goes from A to C skipping B. Yet still, inexplicably, DoDonPachi works for me.

You’ll need: Retroarch 1.4.0 (or above) MAME core (without year tags) A NEO GEO CD game in CHD NEO GEO and NEO GEO CD Bioses: OBS: This method will work with RocketLauncher, its Retroarch module handles all needed commands to make Retroarch load configs, the core and then the game. Currently (in Retroarch 1.4.1) trying to load a NEO GEO CHD file directly will crash Retroarch, it doesn’t matter if you have dummy files, correct bioses, hash files, etc. Proper for MESS (now MAME), the bios files should be placed in the same folder where are CHDs, if the bios are put in other location, Retroarch may crash. So, you just have to press successively the press you want to use, and note the associated scancode somewhere. Now edit your gngeorc file at the line p1key (or p2key), and modify the default scancode with yours but when i press F4 nothing happen!! Tnx for the help 😉. Thanks a lot for the binaries and the tutorial. A few weeks ago I got it working perfectly, but yesterday my SD card got corrupted and I had to install everything again. Now I got it working except for the sound from the analog output (there is no sound, or sometimes, some cracking noise). I am using the new binaries and I haven’t done anything different (both times I used the latest Raspbian image from ).

Also note that, as of time of writing, the 1.4.x and 1.5.0 releases for Wii have problems with audio for the Neo Geo (and CPS2) core(s). The 1.3.6 release is not affected by the audio problem and so assumes you’ll be using that for Neo Geo.
